IDEAS FOR THE MAYOR-ELECT

Event Highlights:

"We need meaningful language access -- that means not just having it, but using it. Many of the city agencies that provide vital services don't have the capacity, training, or interest to provide meaningful services."

- Tiloma Jayasinghe, Executive Director, Sakhi for South Asian Women

"Many of our community members will remain uninsured -- undocumented immigrants -- and will continue to rely on safety net programs. We must continue to invest in those institutions."

- Noilyn Abesamis-Mendoza,
Health Policy Director, Coalition for Asian American Children and Families
